On the 26th October 2026, under the KAYUMBU WATERSHED CLIMATE RESILIENCE project, we trained 40 local champions (17 W, 23 M) from Nyarubaka & Musambira sectors in Kamonyi district on tree monitoring & planting techniques.
Watering the future:
Our solar-powered irrigation system-part of a broader initiative including 140 ha of progressive terraces and 30,000 trees (25k agroforestry + 5k fruit trees) is ready! Drawing river water up to a holding dam to feed 10 ha of marshland, it guarantees year-round farming independent of unpredictable rain. We implement this project in partnership with Rwanda Green Fund.
