Karongi, 3rd December 2025 – ARDE/KUBAHO participated in a strategic project meeting with World Vision to discuss the implementation of their partnership project for the period October 2025 – September 2026. The meeting focused on reviewing achievements from the previous year, introducing new strategies, and planning activities to ensure measurable impact and effective collaboration.
Strategic Approach for 2025–2026
The World Vision Project Manager outlined a new Integrated Program Framework, replacing previous independent working methods. The approach will promote collaborative and transparent implementation while integrating disability inclusion across all project activities. Emphasis was placed on documenting project impact through baseline data, photos, and stories, with monthly reports highlighting measurable change. Weekly catch-up plans will support monitoring and ensure quarterly targets are met.
Child Sponsorship Activities
The sponsorship team shared plans to strengthen child-sponsor engagement, including regular communication through letters, collection of high-quality photos and videos, and updating child information to ensure accurate records. Each sponsored child will be monitored four times annually, and Annual Progress Reports (APRs) will capture updates and achievements from October 2025 to March 2026. Community meetings will foster transparency and engagement with local stakeholders.
Livelihood, Education, and Health Interventions
The meeting also covered livelihood activities, including volunteer training and community dialogues facilitated by GESI-trained staff to promote inclusive participation. Early Child Development (ECD) initiatives will track child participation through consult forms, while the MEQA Tool will assess quality achievements in child protection and education programs. In health and WASH, the focus for the current quarter will be community engagement, raising awareness about hygiene, sanitation, and health practices.
The meeting set a clear roadmap for the second year of the partnership between ARDE/KUBAHO and World Vision. With a strategic, inclusive, and evidence-based approach, both organizations are poised to achieve significant positive outcomes for children and communities across the project areas.
