Empowering Women in Rubavu: A Training program to Transform Communities

Rubavu District, Rwanda – A group of 25 women from Rubavu district, participants in the “AMAHORO ‘ITERAMBERE” project, spent two days from the 11th to the 12th of this month honing their teaching and presentation skills. The intensive training, led by an expert consultant, was designed to equip these women with the tools needed to share their knowledge and lead others in their communities.

The initiative aimed to create a ripple effect of knowledge sharing and empowerment. On the 13th, these trained women put their new skills into practice, educating approximately 300 people from the district. They covered a range of crucial topics that are shaping the future of their community, including children’s and women’s rights, cross-border politics, financial literacy, and resource management.
